Cheers erupted as students from different private schools around Malolos carried their school pride whilst marching into the Centrodome in celebration of the most awaited event of the school year, in which Centro Escolar Integrated School, the school that also hosted the meet before in 2023, was honored once again to be chosen as the host school for the MACIPRISA Meet 2025.
Following the opening remarks of the event is the Parade. The parade showed support coming from parents, friends, and schoolmates of the players, which thrilled the participants, displaying the positive attitudes of the pupils from each respective school they represent.
The opening program celebrated the talents of the city’s youth, as they showed off their talents during the doxology and intermission numbers, held by the Lord’s Angels Montessori School, Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos, Bulacan Ecumenical School, and St. Clement Academy School. It was later on accompanied by speeches, including the welcome remarks spearheaded by CEIS’ Principal Mrs. Abigail E. Bernardino, the opening remarks by the MACIPRISA’s President Mr. Ariel Reyes Inocencio, and the word of thanks by Ms. Juliana Tullao.
The theme for this year’s MACIPRISA is “Strengthening the Youth’s Commitment towards Social Justice.” In which the Guests of Honor speeches stood to. The guests of honor were Mayor Christian D. Natividad and Vice Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian, both from Malolos, District Representative Danny A. Domingo; Schools Division Superintendent Lellanie Samson-Cunanan, and Vice Governor of Bulacan Alexis “Alex” Castro.
The highlight of all of the speeches was the Keynote Speech from Hon. Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, in which he reminded athletes on the importance of sportsmanship and to give their best, as well as giving thanks to the youth for their later efforts. “As we embrace the changes of the modern times, we should also prioritize the physical and mental well-being of our youth,” Fernando stated.
The MACIPRISA flag, as well as other schools’ flags, would be raised with fanfare, followed by the lighting of the torch to signify the start of the games. Athletes took the oath of sportsmanship, followed by the declaration of the opening of MACIPRISA by Inocencio, and to end the eventful morning, the word of thanks from Tullao.
At the Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos’ court, the fiercest of games were played. The Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams of Centro Escolar Integrated School from both High School and Elementary faced off against Merr-C Academy, La Consolacion University Philippines, the Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos, and St. Clement Academy.
